The main places we visited are (in chronological order):

Mississippi - Natchez; Natchez trace parkway; Jackson.
Alabama - Selma; Montgomery; Georgiana; Monroeville; Mobile; Dauphin Island.
Florida - Pensacola city and beaches.
Georgia - Columbus; Plains; Andersonville; Savannah.
South Carolina - Drayton; Charleston; Boone Hall.
North Carolina - Wilmington; Outer Banks; Manteo and Roanoke Island; Winston-Salem.
At the end of the tour we flew back to Italy from Atlanta (Georgia).
Few days later some of these states (and especially the city of New Orleans) were dramatically hit by the hurricane Katrina.
